After graduating from the University of California with a B.S. in Biology, Bob met Shaun in 1999 and worked for him at another lab. He then joined Keating Dental Lab in 2003 and has been the Crown and Bridge Manager since 2005. His main areas of interest inside the lab include CAD/CAM, implants, and KDZ.
He and his wife, Jen, have two children; Rory and Griffin. He enjoys coaching Rory’s sports teams, skiing, scuba diving and watches USC Football.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Travis joined the family business at 18 years old, starting in shipping and receiving before growing into a leadership role through dedication, hard work, and continuous learning. With over 20 years of experience, he now serves as Head CAD/CAM Manager of the Crown & Bridge Department, leading his team in delivering innovative digital solutions and exceptional craftsmanship.
Outside of the lab, Travis enjoys golfing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with his wife and three children.

A graduate from Dental Technology Institute, Steve Tapie earned his degree in Dental Technology in 1986 and has devoted 25 years in the industry. With 20 years of hands-on experience working at the bench for his father’s laboratory, Steve joined Keating Dental Lab in 2006 and took charge of the Model and Die department as the manager. Outside of the lab, Steve enjoys riding his motorcycle, fishing and working on projects around his house.

Joel is a highly experienced Dental Technician with over 40 years of expertise in the removables field and has worked closely with doctors on implant and precision attachment cases. Prior to joining Keating Dental Lab, Joel owned and operated his own dental lab for 20 years, collaborating directly with clinicians to help patients achieve confident, beautiful smiles.

Bernie Rico is an accomplished implant specialist with more than 20 years of experience in the industry, including 15 years dedicated to implant dentistry. His extensive technical expertise and deep understanding of restorative workflows have made him a trusted partner to clinicians, helping them deliver predictable, high-quality patient outcomes. Bernie is passionate about advancing implant solutions, fostering strong professional relationships, and supporting innovation..
Outside of his professional role, Bernie enjoys spending time with his daughter, a Division I student-athlete whose dedication and perseverance inspires him daily. He is also committed to health and fitness.

Raised in Orange County, Barry began his dental laboratory career as a delivery driver at a boutique lab in Tustin, where he learned every aspect of the production process. He worked as a laboratory technician from 1998 to 2013 before becoming a Technical Advisor at Glidewell. In 2017, he joined Keating Dental Lab as Senior Technical Advisor, bringing decades of technical expertise and a commitment to outstanding customer support.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two children, and playing disc golf.

Jeff Sugimura has been a dedicated member of Keating Dental Lab since 2016 and currently serves as the Fixed Manager. As a Certified Dental Technician, he brings decades of expertise in PFM restorations, full gold crowns, and implant-supported restorations. Jeff has a particular passion for complex cases involving existing or planned partial dentures, working closely with dentists to achieve functional, long-lasting, and esthetic results.
Outside the lab, Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, and their family. He also enjoys cheering on his beloved Los Angeles Dodgers.
